A nice Thomas and Thomas Sextant bamboo fly rod, 8'3", 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #9 line. Ser #5811. The rod weighs 7.3 ounces on my scale. Mint Condition. This rod was designed for saltwater use, and has a fast, strong action. Flamed cane with a touch of tiger striping. Impregnated with a very high polish. The main wraps are green with black edges, and brown wraps at the ferrules. The first three guides going across to the bottom of the tip are ceramic shock rings, with the balance being very wide and high arch chrome. The nickel silver ferrules are swiss style with a collar, and the ferrules and front cork check are oxidized jet black. The grip is 7" long and composed of 1/4" corks, and shaped to a full wells profile with a hidden pocket cap. The uplock screwlock seat features an aluminum green frost coated spacer and both the slide and hidden pocket cap are inletted. The seat features a double locking nut and a 1 1/2" fixed fighting butt rounds out the bottom. The rod packs into a tan cloth bag and black crackle painted tube with brass fittings and the T&T data sticker affixed to the outside.
