For sale here is a Ted Godfrey GBI40 Raised Pillar Bi-Metal Trout Fly Reel. Mr. Godfrey created a masterpiece with this reel. It screams "classic" and "quality" with every glance and click of the pawl. This reel has copper rims, nameplate, oil cap, handle screw and counterbalance, black anodized aluminum sideplates, aluminum foot, spool and handle arm, and nickel silver drag adjuster, screws and pillars. This reel remains in excellent+ condition only because of a very minor ding on one of the rims and marks on the reel foot from mounting on a rod. Mechanically the reel has a super tight spindle fit. The oil cap also has some handling patina present -- no scratches just natural tarnish from handling. The drag on this reel is super strong at the highest settings and light enough on the low settings to protect the finest of tippets. 2.75" diameter pillar to pillar, or 2.4" diameter without the pillars.The reel weight 4.6 oz. The reel foot measures 2.4" in length. The spool width is 0.85".
