A nice Thomas and Thomas Midge model bamboo fly rod, 7'6", 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #4 line. Serial #3503. The rod weighs 4.1 ounces on my scale. Lawn cast only condition. Impregnated model. Fast DF action. Medium wheat star color cane done in a three up node pattern. Maroon wraps with black edges at the keeper, ferrules, and tip tops. Carbide stripper with black snake guides. The original owner's name is inked on the rod. Swiss style ferrules with a collar on the males and a tiny T&T logo stamped on the female. The ferrule fits are tight nd the rod is factory straight. The grip is 5 1/2" long and turned to a medium cigar profile. The flatted walnut cap and ring seat has a super coat of varnish that has never had a reel on it. The nickel silver cap and ring has the "Thomas and Thomas, Makers" logo stamp. The rod packs into a polished aluminum tube with brass fittings.
