A nice Thomas and Thomas Paradigm model bamboo fly rod, 8', 3-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #5 line. Serial number 3719. The rod weighs 5.4 ounces on my scale. Mint condition with no sign of even having been lawn cast. Varnished model. The action is near full flexing and a whisker to the slower side of medium. Wheatstraw color oven tempered cane done in a three up node pattern configuration. Very light tan main wraps with brown edges and dark brown at the ferrules. Carbide stripper and black snake guides. The varnish, as with all T&T rods, is absolutely superb. The oxidized swiss style ferrules have a collar on the males. Mirrored tips. The cork grip is 6" long and turned to a Western profile with a hidden pocket cap under the heel of the grip. The spacer is a mortised varnished walnut. The screwlock is nickel silver with a nickel silver slide and cap. The slide is stamped "Thomas and Thomas, Makers". The rod packs into a brown cloth bag with a stiffener and the T&T pull tab, as well as a polished aluminum tube with brass fittings.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
