A Thomas and Thomas Paradigm bamboo fly rod, 8', 3-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #5 line. Serial #3581. Impregnated model. 4.1 ounces. Medium action. Overall very good condition with the exception of a 1" clear wrap on the #1 tip just below the tip top. The rod is straight. There is some hand soiling to the grip. Tan color cane done in a three up node pattern. Maroon wraps with a carbide stripper and black snake guides. The swiss style ferrules have a collar on the male and a tiny T&T logo stamped on the female ferrule. The grip is a large medium cigar profile, 6" in length. The reel seat is a bright cap and ring with the stamp "Thomas and Thomas, Makers" on the butt cap. The wood is a well varnished and flatted walnut. The rod packs into a tan cloth bag with a stiffener and an aluminum tube with brass fittings.
