For sale here is an exquisite little rod built by AJ Thramer from his Classic Taper Series. An "F.E. Thomas Fairy Browntone Taper" 6'8" 2/2 for a 3 weight line. Serial no. E12. The rod is in excellent plus condition. Classic browntone cane. Mahogany wraps, red tipping at the winding check and male ferrules. Blued hardware. Agate stripping guide. Beautiful swelled butt that looks great on this thin rod. Both tips feature the rod's serial number. Blued, nickel-silver winding check. Ring hook keeper embedded in the cork just below the check. Classic cigar grip 5" in length with minimal soiling. Blued, nickel-silver cap and ring reel seat with a mortised walnut spacer. Bluing on reel seat does show some wear. Ferrules size 10/64, the fit is perfect. The action is a sweet medium-fast dry-fly, capable of the utmost delicacy. A true small stream gem. The rod weighs 2 1/2 oz. Includes original bag and tube with black crinkle finish and label fully intact.
Note: Mr. Thramer has posted on his site that he will no longer be making fly rods as of August 2017. He also stated he will only be making certain models of rods for this upcoming year and this FET Fairy did not make the list. Don't miss out!

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
