A nice Tom Morgan Rodsmiths "Streamer Special" fiberglass fly rod, 8'3", 2-piece, 1-tip, built for a #6 line. "19-6-01" inked on the blank. Appears to be in mint or at most lawn cast condition. The action consists of a fast butt and a softer tip. The blank is a spigot ferrule (which I personally think is better than the sleeve over in many respects) and has a deep dark red coating and red wraps with a gold thread here and there at the keeper, ferrules, and tip-top. Very find fittings and appointments on this rod, with excellent care taken (the agate in the agate stripping guide, however, does appear to have a crack and the owner may wish to have it replaced). The grip is a 6 1/4" long full wells profile. The front cork check is machined from 8-sided stock as is the rear cork check over the hidden pocket cap. Nice mortised wooden spacer and an uplocking screw lock which has the TMR logo stamped into the bottom cap. The rod bag is very nicely designed and sewn and packs into a nice tube as well.
