For sale here is a wonderful example of a Julius Vom Hofe german silver / hard rubber trout fly reel with squared raised pillars. Size 2 (diameter 2 5/8" pillar to pillar). The reel is in excellent overall condition. The maker stamp and patent date is visible on the tailplate (pic to follow). There are a couple of small scratches/shallow cracks in the hard rubber on the tailplate, but they do not extend to any edge or screw. The foot is full length and un-filed. Mechanically, the reel functions flawlessly and has a left hand retrieve bias (original custom request more than likely). When the clicker is in the off position, the spool will spin forever! Super nice reel mechanically. Don't miss out on this classic!
