For sale here is a wonderful example of a Julius Vom Hofe raised square pillar trout fly reel. Size 3. Mechanically, the reel is in very good condition. The click favors left hand retrieve. No cracks in the hard rubber. Headplate is stamped "Abbey & Imbrie N.Y. Pat. Oct. 8 1889". An extremely rare find!
