For sale here is a stunning J.D. Wagner 6'8" 3-4wt bamboo rod based on the F.E. Thomas Fairy rod taper. The rod is in near mint condition having only been lawn cast. All sections are full length and straight. The Classic Series rods are a tribute to the rods and rod makers of the golden age. They are fitted with Wagner's own hardware made in-house. All of the rods are unique and built from one culm of bamboo with mirrored tips.
The rod features moderately tempered cane with transparent olive wraps with ruby tipping as well as full intermediates in ruby. Blued guides and tip-tops. Agate stripping guide. Petite swelled butt with a ring hook keeper. Bright nickel silver checks. The cigar grip measures 5 1/2" in length with only slight handling marks. Nickel silver cap and ring reel seat over a beautiful mortised wood spacer. The step-down ferrules are size 10/64 with a perfect fit. The rod weighs 2.80 oz. and has a spry medium-fast action. Includes the original labeled bag and original labeled tube.
Mr. Wagner charges $3600 for a Classic Series rod. Don't hesitate snapping up this one for much less!

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
