For sale here is a Paul H. Young Rod Co. Para 15 bamboo rod. 8' 2/2 5-6wt 4 oz. Serial no. 4631. Made in 1974 by Bob Summers. Excellent+ original condition and a one-owner rod. Wet and Dry tips. The Wet tip has never been used. All sections are full length and straight.
The rod features beautiful dark mottle-flamed cane with transparent chestnut brown wraps. Blued guides and ferrules. Carboly stripping guide.The script, in Summers' hand, remains clean and bold. It reads:
First flat: A Paul H. Young Co. Rod
Second flat: "Parabolic 15" 8' 4 oz.
Garrison-style hook keeper. Full wells/E.C. Powell-style grip 6" in length with moderate soiling though the cork remains quite smooth. Black aluminum down-locking reel seat with a cork spacer. The butt cap features the PAUL H. YOUNG CO. DETROIT - MICH. stamp. There is a small dent in the bottom of the butt cap. The Super-Z brand ferrules are size 15/64 with an excellent fit. The actual weight is 4.35 oz. with the Wet and 4.25 oz. with the Dry tip. The action is a terrific parabolic medium-fast for a 5 or 6 weight line. Includes the original satin-like bag and original tube. Don't miss out on this original Para 15 in excellent condition.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
