A John Bradford "Legacy" model fly rod, 7'6". 3-piece, 2 tips, built for a #5 line. A rare model that's hard to come by. A nice medium-fast progressive action. Excellent, lightly used condition. "J.A. Bradford Maker, "Legacy", 7 1/2 ft 3 7/8 oz., SN 1735" inked on successive flats on the butt. The rod is straight and the ferrule fits are nice and smooth. Medium wheatstraw colored cane in a spiral node configuration. Nice varnish throughout. Wrapped light brown with gold tipping at the keeper, ferrules, and tip-tops. Step ferrules with a slightly coppery oxidized finish. Agate stripping guide. Medium cigar cork grip that's 6 3/8" in length. Light cap and ring oxidized hardware that has some mild brassing to it. The cap has a small crack down one side though the cap isn't loose in any way. "JA Bradford Co, Maker" stamped in a cartouche on the cap. The rod comes packed in a khaki bag with two brass and cork ferrule plugs attached to a tie at the top, and a dark copper/plum colored anodized aluminum tube with brass fittings. The tube has John's data sticker attached to it.
