An HL Leonard model 40H bamboo fly rod, 8', 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #7 line. Serial #3193 and weighing 4.9 ounces on my scale. Built circa 1976. Used but good condition. Slow medium action. Full length with the original ferrule plug. Blonde cane done in a three up node pattern construction. Brown wraps with dark brown edges. Ceramic stripper and chrome snake guides. 6 1/2" deeply sculpted western style grip with a hidden pocket cap. Uplocking aluminum screwlock with the stamp on the slide "The Leonard Rod, HL Leonard Rod Co, Makers" in a cartouche. Butternut spacer. Comes with the tan poplin bag and brushed aluminum tube with brass fixtures with the original Leonard data sticker which is 100% intact.
