A nice Orvis Battenkill fly rod, 7'6", 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #6 line. Serial #62639. The rod weighs 3.9 ounces on my scale. Mint uncast condition. The rod is medium action and feels a but faster than the usual Orvis. Impregnated and oven tempered cane done in a three up node pattern. Brown main wraps with a carbide stripper and chrome guides. Resorcinol glue. The step ferrules are oxidized black. The grip is 6" long and shaped to a blunt cigar profiel. The reel seat is the standard downlocking aluminum Orvis configuration. The rod packs into an offwhite bag and gray frost coated aluminum tube with the Orvis data sticker affixed to it.
