A nice Orvis Battenkill bamboo fly rod, 7', 2-piece, 2-tip, built for a #6 (HDH) though I suspect it would handle a #5 nicely too. Medium action. Serial #31195, built in 1961. Impregnated cane done in a three up node pattern. The rod is nice and straight and the ferrule fits are good. Good used condition with some soiling to the grip and a few minor hook digs here and there but nothing particularly serious that I could find. The oxidation on the ferrules and tip tops has faded a bit. Wrapped apricot throughout. Hook keeper. 6" grip shaped to a medium-blunt cigar. Aluminum downlocking screwlock seat over what appears to be a walnut spacer. The rod packs into a green poplin bag and the original aluminum tube with the data sticker affixed to it.
