A nice Orvis Midge bamboo fly rod, 7'6", 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #5 line. Serial number 78317, built in 1976. Medium action. Impregnated cane done in a three up node pattern. Near mint condition I can find a few signs that this rod has ever been used more than perhaps a time or two. Wrapped in a reddish-apricot with chrome guides. Oxidized ferrules that fit together nicely. Ring hook keeper. 6" grip shaped to medium cigar. Aluminum downlocking screwlock over what appears to be a varnished walnut spacer. The rod packs into a tan cloth bag and an aluminum tube with the Orvis data sticker affixed to it.
