An Orvis Shooting Star bamboo fly rod, 9’, 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #9 line. Serial #14074. The rod weighs 6.5 oz. Rod action is medium but very powerful. Good condition but may have been refinished with aetna foulproof guides at some time as the finish on the guide wraps are adequate but fall short of Orvis professional standards. Dark mahogany color cane in a three up node pattern and impregnated. The wraps are brown. The step ferrules are bright. The slim-ish cigar grip is 7” long with an anodized down lock screw lock with a pocket cap and a 3” long fixed fighting butt. The green cloth bag is original as is the tube.
