A nice RL Winston bamboo fly rod, 7'6", 2-piece, 2-tips and built for what feels to me like a #4 or #5 line. Serial #2458 from the Brackett era. 3.6 ounces in weight (the stated weight on the rod is 3.6 ounces, but Winston's stated weights on rods did not include the weight of the reel seat). Mild signs of use with a bit of grip soiling. Medium fast action. Wheatstraw tempered cane done in a three up node pattern. Light yellow or tan main wraps with cinnamon edges at the keeper, ferrules, and tip-tops. The stripper is a #10 SRMC carbide and the snake guides are chrome along with the tip tops. The grip is 6" long and turned in a western profile. The reel seat is an all aluminum downlocking screwlock with a pocket cap. The rod packs into a red cloth bag and a leather rod tube. The owner's name is stamped on the leather tube.
