For sale here is an R.L. Winston 8' 2/2 5wt bamboo rod. Serial no. 2011. Built shortly after the move to Twin Bridges, Montana. The rod remains in excellent+ condition having been fished very little. All sections are full length and straight.
The rod features a light cane finish with honey wraps and burgundy tipping at the winding check, signature wrap, ferrules, and tip-tops. Bright guides. The script remains as clean and bold as the day it was written. The tips are marked with the serial number as well as numbered. Bronzed ring hook keeper. Full wells grip 6 1/2" in length with only the lightest of handling marks. Also, there is a faint red ring around the nose of the grip left from the red rod bag. Bright aluminum down-locking reel seat over a beautifully figured walnut spacer. The duronze ferrules are size 13/64 with an excellent fit. The rod weighs 3.90 oz. The action is a crisp and smooth medium-fast with great recovery.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
