For sale here is a Montana-era R.L. Winston bamboo rod - 8 feet, 3/2 for a 5 weight line. 4 1/8 oz. Serial no. 3460. Excellent+ condition. All sections are full length and straight. Beautiful dark tempered cane finish. Transparent honey colored cane with oxblood tipping at the winding check, signature wrap, ferrules, and tip-tops. Agate stripping guide. Blued guides. The script remains clean and bold. The serial number and tip number are written at the bottom of each tip. Ring hook-keeper. Handsome bamboo winding check. Western/cigar grip 6 1/4" in length with only minimal soiling. Bright nickel silver down-locking reel seat over a mortised wood spacer. The Winston logo is engraved on the underside of the butt cap. The ferrules are size 10/64 and 16/64 with a perfect fit. The actual weight is 4.45 oz. The medium-fast action is just wonderful. Includes original bag and tube. - We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
