For sale here is a Montana-era R.L. Winston bamboo rod - 8 feet, 3/2 for a 5 weight line. 4 1/8 oz. Serial no. 3460. Excellent+ condition. All sections are full length and straight. Beautiful dark tempered cane finish. Transparent honey colored cane with oxblood tipping at the winding check, signature wrap, ferrules, and tip-tops. Agate stripping guide. Blued guides. The script remains clean and bold. The serial number and tip number are written at the bottom of each tip. Ring hook-keeper. Handsome bamboo winding check. Western/cigar grip 6 1/4" in length with only minimal soiling. Bright nickel silver down-locking reel seat over a mortised wood spacer. The Winston logo is engraved on the underside of the butt cap. The ferrules are size 10/64 and 16/64 with a perfect fit. The actual weight is 4.45 oz. The medium-fast action is just wonderful. Includes original bag and tube.
