A nice Thomas and Thomas "Montana" model fly rod, 8', 2-piece, 2-tips, for a #6 line. Serial #3626. Impregnated model. Weighs 5.2 ounces on my scale. A nice medium-fast action. Medium dark wheat straw oven tempered cane with slightly darker nodes in a 3-up pattern. One set of nodes is within 3" of one another on the butt section. The wraps are a very light tan, almost transparent in color with light brown edges (there is some very minor cosmetic frosting on a few wraps). Dark brown at the ferrules and an extra band of black at the keeper and male ferrule edges and tip top. The keeper is on the wrap flat as well as the lettering "8' / #6 Montana No 3626". Overall condition is lightly used with light grip soiling. 5 3/4" heavy western style grip. Reel seat is an aluminum screwlock uplock with a nickel silver slide with "Thomas and Thomas, Makers" stamped in a cartouche. The rod packs into a tan cloth bag with a stiffener, and an aluminum tube with a brass top.
