For sale here is a scarce and very nice Dingley 2 5/8" fly reel with horseshoe latch, made for and retailed by Alex Martin. It is extremely hard to find a Dingley of this size in fantastic condition like this one. Stamped D4 inside the reel and 4 on the foot. This excellent condition reel is RHW. Un-filed original smooth brass reel foot with two screws. The crackled erinoid handle spins freely. No wobble and very little spool/spindle movement. No cracks/chips or prior repairs. Fair amount of original leading remains. Pillar length 0.70". Weight 4 oz. Reel foot is 2.40" long. An extremely fine Dingley reel to fish or collect!
