A nice Hardy Phantom fly rod, 8' 2-piece, 1-tip built for a #5 line. Inscribed "8' Regd trade mark, Palakona, the Phantom #5". Medium action. Well done dip over re-finish. Clean grip, varnished light colored rod shafts, 3 up node pattern construction. Wrapped black with red edges. Keeper one flat left. Step ferrule is stamped "28" on the female with a brass welt. 25 stamped on the brass shoulder of the male. Ferrules oxidized. Chrome guides. All cork seat, aluminum ring and pocket cap. Pocket cap stamped "made by Hardy's England". Olive Hardy bag, no tube.
