Bob Summers Midge Fly Rod 6'6" 2/2 #3/4

A nice Bob Summers Midge fly rod, 6'6" 2-piece, 2-tips, built for a #3 or #4 line. Serial number #522005. 2.2 ounces. This rod flexes right down to the grip but feels like it would generate excellent line speed. Near mint condition, possibly lawn cast only. Labeled "R.W. Summers Co Midge, 6'6" #3 to 4 line". Dark cane with two opposed node pattern. Excellent varnish. Main wraps are light transparent yellow, no edges. Oxidized step ferrules, carbide stripper and black snake guides. The grip is a generous 5 1/2" long, done in a medium cigar profile weighted slightly to the front. A short walnut or mahogany rear cork check divides the cork reel seat from the grip. The cork seat is mortised with two opposed black anodized aluminum rings. A walnut or mahogany cap holds the rings from falling off. Supplied with a brown cloth bag with Bob's logo sewn on and attached aluminum and cork ferrule plug. Packed in Bob's unique brass topped aluminum tube.
